• Be qualified by experience
• Run, own or manage a business practice in their specialist field
• Have at least 5 years trading history in their field
• Agree to have their material reviewed by website users
• Plan to deliver the same services for years to come
• Continue research in their field of expertise
• Agree to the feature being put through an editorial process to maintain consistency
• Accept the project boards decision as a final decision

In addition the author will:

• Agree to provide their material under a sole exclusive license
• Agree not to publish the material elsewhere to keep this publication special
• Commit to continued best practice in their field
• Agree that relevant advertisement alongside their feature is good for industry
• Agree that good practice is installed through self regulation

In addition Top10Tips will:

• Agree to ensure advertisers add value to their publication
• Agree to support the industry by providing low cost advertising
• Agree to allow some editorial control over advertisers
