Top 10 Upcoming Films for 2014

1.    Captain America: The Winter SoldierWatch Full Movie Online Streaming Online and Download

In a year that looks set to be dominated by blockbusting sequels,  prequels and reboots, Chris Evans brings Captain Steve Rogers to the big screen once more. Directed by the Russo brothers, we see Steve Rogers struggling to find a place in the modern world whilst coming up against an old enemy from days past.

2.    X-Men: Days of Future Past

The 7th X Men film in 14 years sees director Bryan Singer bringing back the original cast of the X Men trilogy, including Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Halle Berry, to join forces with their younger selves in a battle to change their past and save their future.

3.    Noah

Currently in post production and featuring an all-star cast, Noah tells the epic Biblical story of the apocalyptic flood and the struggle of one man to save his family from the oncoming deluge.

4.    The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Andrew Garfield’s second outing as the rebooted Spider-Man has been eagerly awaited. Spider-Man comes up against OsCorp, a mysterious company that sends a profusion of evil super villains to defeat him, including Electro, the Green Goblin and The Rhino. Peter Parker learns that being Spider-Man comes at a price.

5.    I, Frankenstein

The first of two new movies this year based around Mary Shelley’s enduring horror novel. In this offering we see a war against Gargoyles and the demons of Prince Naberius, plus Dr Frankenstein’s creation trying to adapt to living in the modern world, having lived in isolation for 200 years.

6.    Transformers: Age of Extinction

Having said goodbye to Shia Lebeouf, Mark Wahlberg takes up the mantle of Decepticon bashing in the fourth installment of the Transformers franchise to hit the Silver Screen. Directed and produced by Michael Bay, Transformers: Age of Extinction will also see the introduction of mechanical dinosaurs known as Dinobots.

7.    Guardians of the Galaxy

Marvel Studio’s attempt to gain some of the big summer blockbuster viewing figures, Guardians of the Galaxy is due for release on 1st August 2014. The plot revolves around the premise that a US pilot, Peter Quill, steals a powerful orb coveted by the evil Ronan who proceeds to move heaven and earth to attain it.

8.    The Monuments Men

Based on a true story, with a bit of Hollywood spin, this movie follows the team of American soldiers who went into Nazi Germany to recover artistic masterpieces from the Third Reich and return them to their rightful owners. In an abundance of riches, it was written by, directed by and stars George Clooney.

9.    The Hunger Games: Mockingjay (Part 1)

Due for release in late November to catch the Christmas crowds, the third installment of Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games novels see Katniss Everdeen becoming the reluctant figurehead for the mass rebellion against the Capitol.

10.    Maleficent

Acting as a prequel to Sleeping Beauty, this film examines the events before the notorious spinning wheel incident and tries to portray why Maleficent becomes the “Mistress of All Evil” and why she cursed the young princess Aurora. Starring Angelina Jolie, leaked onset photos have increased interest in the film and kept it in the public eye.
